If we carefully read Quran from the beginning to the end we will find out that most of it is about the challenges that the prophets had against the wrong religion at the time. Prophets campaign were with religious people, but those religious people who were followers of the deviated religions that were in contrast with the real monotheism and were causing people busy with vain and useless affairs. Let’s review this subject together starting from Noah.

Quran in (10, Yunus – 73) says,” They rejected him (Noah)” meaning people did not accept what he said and told him what you say is lies. And in (7, The Heights – 60) says,”The leaders among his people said: we see you are clearly in error.” and in (11, Hud – 27) says,”The leaders of those who disbelieved among his people said: we see you are only a human being like us, and we see that no one has followed you except those low and immature among us, and we do not see in you any grace (preference) over us. In fact, we think you are liars.” and in (11, Hud – 32) says,”They said: Noah, disputed (argued) with us, and argued too much with us, so bring us what (the punishment) you promised us if you are truthful.” and in (23,The Believers – 24) says,”The leaders of those who disbelieved among his people said: he is only a human like you who wants to be superior over you, and if God wanted He would have sent down angels, We have not heard such a thing among our forefathers” And in (23, The believers – 25) says,”He is only a man that has gone mad, so put up with him for a while” and in (71, Noah – 23) says,”And they said: do not leave your gods, and do not leave Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghus and Ya’uq and Nasr”  Notice that they had many gods and there wasn’t lack of gods. And eventually in (26, The Poets – 116) says,”They said: Noah, if you do not stop, you will be stoned (to death).”

And about Hud in (7, The Heights – 66) says,”The leaders of those who disbelieved among his people said: we see you are a fool and we think you are a liar.” And in (7, The Heights – 70) says,They said: have you come to us, so we only serve (worship) God alone, and give up what our fathers served (worshiped), bring us what you threatened us with (the punishment) if you are truthful.” and in (11, Hud – 53) says,”They said: Hud, you have not brought us any clear proof, and we are not going to abandon our gods on your words, and we do not believe you.” Belief means, ”Admitting, accepting, or believing.” And disbelief means,” rejecting, disbelieving, denying, covering , concealing, or being ungrateful.”

And about Salih In (7, The Heights – 75 & 76) says,”The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said to those who were considered weak and had believed (in Salih’s words): do you know that Salih is sent by his Lord? They said: we believe in what was sent to him. Those who were arrogant said: we disbelieve in what you believe in.” and in (11 Hud – 62) say,”They said: Salih, before this, you were the one we placed our hopes in, do you forbid us from serving (worshiping) what our fathers served? We are in serious doubt about that which you invite us to.” and in (26 The Poets – 153 & 154) Says,”They said: you are only one of the bewitched, you are only a human like us, so bring a sign (a miracle) if you are truthful.”

And about Abraham in (21, The Prophets – 52 to 55) says,”When he said to his father and his people: what are these statues to which you are devoted? They said: we found our fathers serving (worshiping) them. He said: you and your fathers are clearly in the wrong path. They said: have you brought us the truth or are you playing around?” and in (29, The Spider – 24) says,”But there was no answer from his (Abraham’s) people except that they said: kill him or burn him. So God saved him from the fire.”

And about Lut in (29, The Spider – 28 & 29) says,”And remember Lut when he said to his people: you commit an indecent act that none of the people of the world (humanity) before you has done. You approach the males and cut off the way and commit wrong (unacceptable) in your gatherings. But there was no answer from his people except that they said: bring us God’s punishment if you are truthful.” And in (26, The Poets – 165 to 167) says,”Among the people of the world (humanity), do you approach the males? And you leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, you are people who exceed the limits. They said: Lut, if you do not stop, you shall be sent away (to exile).” and in  (7, The Heights – 81 & 82) says,”You approach men lustfully instead of women. Indeed you are excessive people. The only answer of his people was that they said: force them out of your town, they want to be pure (and innocent).”

About Shu’aib in (11, Hud – 87) says,”They said: Shu’aib, does your mandatory prayer instructs you that we should give up what our fathers served (worshiped) or give up doing what we want with our wealth? You are patient and sensible (you should not say these things).” and in (26, The Poets – 185 & 186) says,”They said: you are only one of the bewitched, you are only a human like us, and we think you are a liar.” and in (11, Hud – 91) says,”They said: Shu’aib, we do not understand most of what you say, and we see that you are weak among us, and it was not for your family, we would have definitely stoned you” and in (7, The Heights – 88) says,”The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said: Shu’aib, we will drive you and those who believe with you out of our town unless you return to our faith. He said: even though we despise that?”

And you know about oppositions to Moses, Jesus, John the Baptist, and Prophet Muhammad.
